The Toyota Forklifts logo will take pride of place on the front of the Canberra Raiders jersey through until 2027 after TMHA agreed to an extension to remain the Raiders’ Principal Partner in a multi-year deal.
Toyota Forklifts first joined the Raiders family in 2021 and this partnership extension will see the brand remain on the front and top of the back of the NRL jersey for a further two years.
The partnership between the Raiders and Toyota Forklifts continues to flourish both on and off the field, with the two organisations working together to support several community initiatives and charities, including the Melanoma Institute of Australia, Lifeline Canberra, and the Canberra Region Rugby League through the Lift my League competition.
The partnership also extends into career pathways for young players, with current NRL development squad member Owen Pattie recently finishing an apprenticeship with Toyota Material Handling in Queanbeyan.
Toyota Material Handling Australia President Steve Takacs said he was looking forward to seeing the partnership with the Raiders continue to go from strength to strength.
“The Raiders are a proud rugby league club with a strong heritage, vibrant fan base and deep connection to the community and we see our partnership building on those strengths”
“I’ve been proud to see us work together on a number of initiatives that have benefited charities and junior football and I’m excited to see what’s possible with Toyota Forklifts continuing as Principal Partner until 2027.”
Raiders CEO Don Furner said the partnership between the Raiders and Toyota Forklifts has been mutually beneficial so far, and he forecasts further success in the coming years.
“Toyota Forklifts and the Raiders have shown in 5 years of partnership how effective two like-minded organisations can be when they work together. Both parties and our respective communities have benefited from our partnership” Furner said. “Our association with this industry leading company is valued, and something the Raiders are extremely proud of, and we thank Steve Takacs and the entire Toyota Forklifts team for continuing to lift the Raiders.”
